Raymond Coulthard is an English actor, best known for his roles as Alasdair Sinclair in the popular ITV soap opera Emmerdale and restaurant manager James Schofield in Hotel Babylon. In 2005, Coulthard appeared in the first series of Extras. He also appears in the second series of Love Soup, and could be seen playing anaesthetist Matt Strong in the popular TV series Casualty during 2010. He played Frank Churchill in Emma (the 1996 TV adaptation of Jane Austen's novel), alongside Kate Beckinsale in the title role. Coulthard's film roles to date include the The English Patient, The Best Man and the Muppet Christmas Carol where he played a young Ebenezer Scrooge. He can also be heard playing one of the main characters in the radio sitcom The Brothers which is regularly repeated on BBC Radio 4 Extra.
